And that log always seems to send him back to New York.

For some reason I thought of David McCarty. I sincerely thought, "Holy ****! Is he still playing?!!?"

Electric stuff by Graderol. Wondering about his career longevity though.

It looks so effortless for him to throw 100 MPH. Hopefully it turns out to be a win win trade for both parties after Boston weaseled out of their agreement.

Fernando Rodney has signed with the Astros. This is a wonderful day; huzzah, huzzah!

With the delay in the season I had forgotten about my personal Rodney watch. See, Rodney is the last major leaguer older than I am and it surely is going to be a trying time for me once there is nary a player I can look to and say, "See, I could still do that!"

Once he's done I fear I will slide into that period where I buy an impractical vehicle and get a mistress, but I have neither the time or the money for either.

The Rays are adding Sean Gilmartin to their bullpen. Now 30, Gilmartin was a guy that many here thought had a future until he was taken in the Rule 5 draft by the Mets.

I see both of the recent ex-Twin Logans are in the majors. Morrison is with the Brewers and Forsythe is with the Marlins. Neither is making much noise with the bat, to this point.

I highly recommend you work some overtime and make the transition. Go used on the new acquisitions. Cheaper.

Maybe we should have a separate thread for all of the ex-Twin Logans? :)

Logan Darnell has pitched this year for the "Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions" of the Chinese Baseball League.

Logan Schafer's Wikipedia page calls him a "free agent" but he apparently has not played professionally anywhere since 2017...

What was your favorite Logan Schafer moment? Mine occurred on October 18, 2016. On that day, the Twins granted him free agency.

Morrison struck me as a real d-bag. Wasn't too sad to see him leave.

Blake Parker returns! The Phillies have promoted Parker to the majors, so the East can see long innings with Parker looking very uncofortable while getting into the stretch. He is one ex-Twin that I do not miss.

Aaron Slegers contract selected by TB today.

Good for him! I wonder if he's still considered a starter in their system or if he moved to relief. Maybe his long time adopt-a-prospect dad Ashbury can fill us in :)

I believe he will still will have rule 5 restrictions going into next season. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a rule 5 guy who hasn't made it to 90 days on the active roster 3 seasons after being drafted.

Dan Winkler was drafted by the Braves in Dec. 2014 and didn't hit 90 days active until 15 days into the 2018 season. I think that's the record.

Burdi could surpass that mark now, drafted in Dec. 2017. He's at 68 days active since then, by my count, so he still needs 22 more. I'm sure he'd rather be pitching, but at least he's been racking up MLB service time, salaries, and benefits this whole time.

(As an aside, Dec. 2019 Rule 5 picks only need 50 days active, due to the shortened season.)

John Curtiss is getting another chance with the Rays.

After a disastrous 2019, Curtiss has now had two encouraging appearances to start his Rays career.

First game, 6 up, 6 down, 4 K's versus the Yankees while his team came back to tie before going on to win.

Second game, he replaced an injured opener (the same guy Slegers is replacing on the roster today) with 1 out and 1 on in the first inning vs Boston, and Curtiss struck out JD Martinez in a strike 'em out / throw 'em out double play to end the inning. Gave up 4 hits over the next 2 innings, but ultimately pitched 2.2 innings only allowing 1 run and was awarded the win.

He remains tall. I don't have other scouting information to share.
