I don't really blame Sano on that one. That was crushed. Tough play.

Though I agree that the defense does need to improve.

It was tough. But an above average 3B makes that play. Maybe even an average 3B. We don't have one.

Welp.

 

It seems, historically, that whenever we get into these big series with the Yanks, certain guys who've done certain things well all year long choose their moments to not do those things well.

 

Cron has been picking the lights out of bad throws all year, but this one gets away- and not that bad a throw.

 

Littel has been a cool cucumber in big situations, but looked- and pitched- like a scared little bunny out there.

 

Still a lot of game left. Hopefully, another member of the cast doesn't choose their moment, too.

Good job Duff. But now what do you do? Burn through May, Romo and Rogers in a game you're down 2 and leave yourself hard up tomorrow? Or try and  roll with Stashek/Gibson?

The Twins are just as good as the Yankees, they just don’t believe it, that’s their problem

Maybe full strength...too bad they had so many injuries this year.  And one awful suspension.  Yankees are much better right now unfortunately.  Twins will have to play unbelievably good to win the series.  And that Includes pitching and defense.
