USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I like Garver, but he's godawful with the glove.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Garver is still a bad catcher.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 As is often the case, not only does the starter, who shouldn't have been in the game, give up runs, but he doesn't even keep the bullpen out of the game.I have long been a proponent of leaving pitchers in longer when they are pitching well and having a quick hook when they are not. Rocco takes the exact opposite approach.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 My friend, Danny, went to school with his sister, SUNY Cortland, and worked with her at SOS and hence became friends with Kelly. Both are athletic trainers. He is also a Twins fan. He asked her, jokingly if he is going to sign with the Twins, and she told him that he was going to the highest bidder. He wanted the money. I don't blame him. Relax. It's not that big of a deal. Sorry if I offended you. Their family lives in Cicero. Syracuse is not a big city; everyone knows everyone if you live here long enough.Wait, what? You're an athletic trainer?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 What do the Twins have against Target Field
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Unleash the Sleestak!!!!! Well, the Sleestak just unleashed something, crossing up his catcher.
rkevin Provisional Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Can we just skip ahead due to time constraints?
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Wait, what? You're an athletic trainer? Nah, I'm an English teacher in the city school district.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Imagine winning 95 games and possibly missing the expanded playoffs. It’s a stretch but it could happen
bighat Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Odorizzi and Berrios have their work cut out for them this weekend. Twins are back into the pressure cooker, must-win mode. And they can't score any runs.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Just great! Let's give them another run!
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Good to see Stashak in. Too bad he should've been in 5 batters earlier.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I like Garver, but he's godawful with the glove.Which makes me worry if the option is 1B when Castro is catching.
Danchat Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Well... the good news is that the upcoming series against Cleveland is not a home series, and they aren't going to have home field advantage in the playoffs. Oddly enough, that seems to be just what this team needs since they play so poorly at home.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Wait, what? You're an athletic trainer?athletic supporter?

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Nah, I'm an English teacher in the city school district.Heh ... you ruined my punch line ... was gonna say 'Better than an athletic supporter' ... But that's also better than being an athletic supporter ... way better ... Favorite author? Favorite book?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Which makes me worry if the option is 1B when Castro is catching.i don't think Garver's a realistic option at 1st, which is why I don't think we see him there.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Garver is still a bad catcher. He should be our first baseman next year!

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Bremer....lol.. cardinal sin for baseball announcers.... call a home run that isn’t
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Garver with a leadoff double. I should like the sound of that, but I don’t. Shouldn’t really be strictly a lead off guy imo
