operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Alright, that's enough Gibby, let's get Thorpe or Stashak out there. Gibby clearly isn't 100% out there right now.Unleash the Sleestak!!!!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 So it’s looking like the final 13 games after the Indians series is going to determine our fate. 7 against KC, 3 against the White Sox and Tigers. What do the twins have to go in that span? 10-3? Will that be enough at this point
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Sigh. The Nats are goodI would say Gibson is not good. He can't locate his pitches.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I think Corbin's sister is a pretty reliable source. Not gonna argue with you. Not everyone is money hungry. Are you Corbin's sister? Is your "buddy" Corbin's sister? Are you familiar with the childhood "telephone game"? I suspect you might be playing it, to a degree. Oh, and I left out a pretty huge factor -- Corbin is a pitcher, and one who already had TJ surgery 5 years ago. He's one pitch away from being finished. So pardon me for not begrudging him if he wasn't willing to take $40 mil less to sign with one preseason division favorite instead of another, in his first and best crack at free agency.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I completely don't understand Baldelli in this game. You have a dozen relievers out there. Gibson has NOTHING. You could really, really use a win. You're already playing with a lineup that is almost certainly gonna struggle to score. You can't let Gibson keep making this game harder.Rocco must think losses against non divisional or non league opponents count for less.

They really like to give the starter every chance they can get. Now that we're in September, it makes a lot less sense.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Cron almost tripped over first base but didn’t think of stepping on itI think he made the right play. If he steps on first, they likely don't get the runner at 2nd. Now he's in scoring position, DP not in order. Close call, but I think that's the way most first basemen play it.

And of course while I'm typing, he registers a K. / edit - and of course while I was typing that addendum, the run scoring double happened.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 As is often the case, not only does the starter, who shouldn't have been in the game, give up runs, but he doesn't even keep the bullpen out of the game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 13-18 at home since the ASB if this score holds. Hard to fathom

My friend, Danny, went to school with his sister, SUNY Cortland, and worked with her at SOS and hence became friends with Kelly. Both are athletic trainers. He is also a Twins fan. He asked her, jokingly if he is going to sign with the Twins, and she told him that he was going to the highest bidder. He wanted the money. I don't blame him. Relax. It's not that big of a deal. Sorry if I offended you. Their family lives in Cicero. Syracuse is not a big city; everyone knows everyone if you live here long enough.
