Game Thread - Twins v Nationals, 9/12 @ 6:40pm

[USAFChief]

There's at least a chance, if Gibson doesn't come out for the 3rd, that this game is tied.

And Gibson shouldn't have come out for the 3rd.

And Gibson shouldn't have come out for the 3rd.

That would have made him an opener-starter

I'm worried about my mind if we're thinking alike ...

it was kind of a no brainer, don’t you think

[USAFChief]

Right. You're thinking alike.

...

HAHAHAHAHAHAH I kill me.

[operation mindcrime]

CRUZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

[ashbury]

Three runs against Corbin. I should have taken the over.

[Otto von Ballpark]

My friend, Danny, went to school with his sister, SUNY Cortland, and worked with her at SOS and hence became friends with Kelly. Both are athletic trainers. He is also a Twins fan. He asked her, jokingly if he is going to sign with the Twins, and she told him that he was going to the highest bidder. He wanted the money. I don't blame him. Relax. It's not that big of a deal. Sorry if I offended you. Their family lives in Cicero. Syracuse is not a big city; everyone knows everyone if you live here long enough.

This explanation actually makes your animosity towards him even more strange. His sister's response *to a joke question* makes you dislike him?

[ashbury]

i don't think Garver's a realistic option at 1st, which is why I don't think we see him there.

He should be our first baseman next year!

Anti-ninja'd!

/ edit - and, ninja'd by SQUIRREL

[mrtwinsfan]

after eddie,= ouch not even Pirana Power

[Aggies7]

Eddie swings at one literally in the RH batters box

[FlauerPauer]

Heh ... you ruined my punch line ... was gonna say 'Better than an athletic supporter' ...

But that's also better than being an athletic supporter ... way better ...

Favorite author? Favorite book?

Toss up between Junot Diaz and Laurie Halse Anderson; have pretty much read their entire collections. I don't really have a favorite book. I have a couple that I have read multiple times; Run Like an Antelope by Sean Gibbon, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, by Diaz, Speak by Anderson, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, by Tom Wolfe; anything by Poe.

I'm currently reading King of Scars, by Leigh Bardugo right now. I read more news articles and the like more often than books since I read everyday in class.

What about you?

[FlauerPauer]

Never said I dislike him at all. I tend to root for most CNY athletes.

Edit: Was hoping he'd have signed with the Twins; although, not at 140 mil for a player that's really only had one really good year.

Please let this be the AB that makes me like Tortuga again.

subtlety died in the 80’s

[ashbury]

Got an early morning tomorrow, so I'm going to have to miss out on the fantastic comeback by our guys. Good night and Go Twins!

[stringer bell]

Unless they get some of their players back, it isn't going to matter.

[FlauerPauer]

I don't know how to read.

Neither do most of my students...

[USAFChief]

BLASTING TECHNO MUSIC

Yeah, I don't like it either. I might even use a more colorful adjective to describe it.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

I don't know how to read.

But you subscribed to Twins Daily back when it was a print newsletter, right?

[David HK]

Man, I'm just ticking off the body parts I would have given up to see Corbin in a Twins uni this season.
