stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I’m traveling and only have my phone. I know Polanco missed last night’s game with an injury and that Dyson had a recurrence of his injury. Do we have timetables for those guys? What about Marwin and Buxton? And Gibson?

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 You forgot Gonzalez. I’ve heard little about that.I think Marwin and Gonzalez are the same person...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I think Marwin and Gonzalez are the same person...Heh, I just didn’t see it.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 From USA Today, Polanco is questionable with a sore right middle finger. Dyson is questionable with a sore shoulder. No timetable on Marwin (Gonzalez). Gibson on the IL until mid-September, no other news on his condition. I'm betting Polanco and Dyson are held out for another game at least. I would be surprised to see Gibson back when he's eligible to come off the IL. Marwin's a complete mystery at this point.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Author Posted September 6, 2019 Gonzalez was one of the Twins’ best hitters vs. the Tribe last month. I hope he gets some PAs this weekend.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I think Marwin and Gonzalez are the same person...Yeah, but what about MarGo? I've heard she's injured too.
ewen21 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Yeah, but what about MarGo? I've heard she's injured too. You're such a Kidder
gocgo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Gonzalez is sidelined due to a right abdominal strain, and there is no timetable for return.
Otwins Verified Member Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 And Cruz? Schoop pinch hit for him
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Tomorrow's line-up Rocco: Arreaz, Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Rosario, Garver, Cron, Astudillo, Wade.
Einstein1 Provisional Member Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 What about Buxton, any timetable for him?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 At the current incredible rate of attrition, should the Twins seriously consider calling up Kiriloff and Balazovic?
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 So the current list is: BuxtonCruzCaveGonzalezGibsonPineda DysonAdrianza? Throw in Rosario who has been playing hurt......ouch
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Buxton is not with the team, in California getting another opinion on his shoulder. Kepler left the game today and will be having an MRI on his shoulder. Gibson is slated to start Thursday. Neither Cruz nor Sano were available to pinch hit for LaMarre today, though they were expected to be available. I presume they will be ready for the Nationals series.
brvama Provisional Member Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 At the current incredible rate of attrition, should the Twins seriously consider calling up Kiriloff and Balazovic? I was thinking the same thing on Kiriloff. They probably would like him to stay through the Wahoo's playoff run though. But if we're short on quality OFs and the playoff roster is thin, I'd bring up. I think they could put him on that roster, can't they?
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Someone get Hawkeye off his soapbox there's incoming wounded at Target Field.
Kelly Vance Verified Member Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Heh, I just didn’t see it.Are you sure? Come to think of it, have any of you seen Marwin and Gonzalez in the same room ever?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Are you sure? Come to think of it, have any of you seen Marwin and Gonzalez in the same room ever?Wait, are we trying to establish they are the same person, or they aren't? Believie they are the same, i have never sen them seperately.
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I pretty sure the Squirrel can play centerfield....I still go back to didn't Brett Favre once play with a broken finger? Eat your Cheerios boys and toughen up! For some of you this might be your only shot at a World Series.
SomeGuy Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 What about Buxton, any timetable for him? Will likely miss the rest of the season. Expected to have surgery today. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/09/twins-byron-buxton-shoulder-surgery.html

Diesel Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Kepler/Cave/Rosario is still a good lineup IF healthy.... Sucks to lose Buxton, but will give him even more motivation for next year to be the best he can be
woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Add Marwin to the acceptable outfield lineup, particularly against a lefty, once he's healthy. (You can always throw Jake Cave out there as a defensive replacement for MarGo in later innings.)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 I like Gonzalez and his experience over Cave in all situations. I do wonder when Jake is healthy if he'll be in center field because of Kepler's injury. The problem is right now Kepler, Cave and Gonzalez are all also on the shelf. Get well soon, guys!
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I don't like this thread.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 ESPN is reporting that Cave, Kepler, and Sanó are all not in the starting lineup tonight. It sounds like Gonzalez is further away and as reported earlier today, that Buxton is done for the season.
