He probably is looking at Odorizzi, Gibson, and Pineda leaving the team this year. And Cruz will be gone as well. Contracts for guys like Rosario will expire in a couple of years as well.

 

Guys like Kiriloff and Lewis aren't sure things by any stretch of the imagination. The team the Twins has is good right now, and many players are right in the prime of their careers at this time.

Our farm system is in a great spot as a whole and is not dependent on what 2 or 3 of them do.

If they don’t, it’s important to remember that the bullpen has actually been solid this year. It’s not anywhere close to the disaster some people seem to think it is.

Bottom line is that fans were lied to. Ownership claims money isn’t an impediment to additions. Front office claims that additions will be made if the timing is right.

 

One of them flat out lied.
