If the Yankees were having the kind of offensive season that the Twins are having so far ESPN would have a 1 hour special every night devoted to talking about it

We just acquired Jeremy Bleich a 32 year old lefty from the Red Sox for cash considerations. He's been assigned to Rochester!

It’s a pretty standard move this time of year as teams pillage their minor league system and need warm bodies to pitch for their affiliates.

 

Not terribly different than the Yankees buying Navarro from the Twins yesterday, though they did it in part because they need MLB catching depth.

I understand why teams make moves like this, but I am also poking fun of the Twins for historically not making trades that benefit their team down the playoff stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the only trade the front office makes before the deadline.
