What would be the real irony of that Yankees series is that it reignited the Twins offense and ended up destroying the Yankees pitching staff.

Despite losing two games, the Twins bullpen somehow escaped without being legitimately damaged and gets another break tonight.

If our BP can stay relatively rested and perform relatively well on this road trip it can be reasonably argued that Smeltzer was the most valuable player during the Yankee series.

Based on the earlier call involving Engel Abreu must have thought that you can just go wherever you want when you are a baserunner. I guess that's a logical deduction.
