Advice: It's tremendously easy to do. 

 

The Tough part is getting them out. 

pro tip: the farther you push them in, the easier it becomes to get them out.

It’s been sloppy baseball for a month. I think this is the first difficult situation Baldelli has to deal with. Kumbaya May no longer been the best managerial strategy

So I have to admit I am a bit ashamed of myself. I had a rough day at work, so I stopped off at my usual little neighborhood bar on the way home, intending to have just one. Well, one turned into 5 or 6, and I shouldn't have driven home, but I did. I carefully peeled the label off my last beer, and stuck it in my shirt pocket.

 

Sure enough, I got pulled over on the drive home from the bar. I quickly pulled the beer bottle label out of my pocket, licked it, and stuck it to my forhead.

 

The nice officer walked up to my window, and said "You were weaving, sir. Have you been drinking?"

 

I pointed to the label, and said, "No officer. I'm trying to quit. I'm on the patch."

Concur. We're all a bit ashamed of you too.

Reminds me of one of my pastor friends who went to visit an elderly parishioner. The parishioner had to go to the bathroom, and it took awhile. Not having had lunch, the pastor started to notice the bowl of raisins on the coffee table, and succumbing to temptation, picked out one to nibble on. The potty break dragged on and on, and eventually the pastor finished off the entire bowl.

 

When the parishioner came back, my friend had to confess and apologized, “I’m so sorry, but I just ate the entire bowl of raisins.”

 

“Oh, that’s no problem,” the parishioner said. “I already sucked off all the chocolate.”

Earlier this year, we'd have total confidence that the offense could bring it back... now we have no hope when our starter throws "the Pineda".

It sucks that it feels like this...but a two run lead seems insurmountable right now.

 

I don't want to believe it, but the offense just seems to be in such a funk.

 

It's weird.

 

Hoping we can get the bats going here.
