HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 How many games have we taken the lead to only give it back in the next half inning? Seems like it happens a couple times every game
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 OK, Gibby gives up this run quickly.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 I didn't get this reference, until I remembered that the Sumerian number system was Base-60. Hilarious!wut??
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 I didn't get this reference, until I remembered that the Sumerian number system was Base-60. Hilarious! Gibson didn't know that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 "Off Garver's Glove" count: 1. o/u is 2.5Over.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 1 reliable starter and 2 reliable relievers. Make it happen front office.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 And it immediately hurts usCleveland winning, BTWI already said it three days ago. After this series, Indians would tie with us.
Reider Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Great play by Matt Olson at first to make the catch, then get the second out at 3rd, but that's bad baseball (base running) by the Twins (Jake Cave). If that ball gets by Olson, Cave scores easily. Getting doubled off like that is bad fundamental baseball. There was one out and Cave was nowhere near third base when he got doubled off.

ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 How many free bases have the twins handed out since the ASB? PreposterousNo. It being AFTER the All-Star Break, that makes it Postposterous.

bighat Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Gibby gives it right back. Geez Louise. Note that Sano got to 3rd thanks to a sac bunt, scored on a wild pitch. Those small ball plays can be effective.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 I just realized my posts keep landing above the mid-thread ads. For awhile there I thought I drank too much and changed my signature to promote Ethan Allen for some reason.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 If the Oakland batter hits a ground ball right over the third base bag, is that also considered “nibbling” with the foul line? /five minutes late on that joke #timing
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Gibson didn't know that. In the Sumerian number system, you don't know NOTHIN'.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Awesome play. 0-2 pitch to the 9 hitter though. Rabbit foot up gibby’s behind
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 That's why pitchers can punch anyone out are the most important in the modern era. If Gibby can punch 3 outs, one single and a wild pitch can't score.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 What is the temp there, and the heat index? And Woohoo MarGo!

I'm still getting ads for those ridiculous Fluevog shoes, or whatever they are.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Rosario catches that. Too soon?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 I continue to eat crow regarding Marwin in RF. He played very little in right before coming to the Twins, and I didn't like what I saw early on, but he's applied himself and is making some plays to enjoy.

My guess is that Baldelli called go on contact. The idea is that a so-so grounder can score a run. However, this is an example of how that can bite you in the butt.
