VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Please god no4 walks and 24 K's in 15.2 IP, ERA under 3.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 I actually agree with the Twins decision to not give Kimbrel a 3rd year. However, the Twins bullpen choosing this time to spring a leak is... ironic at best.Yup, sort of like White Star Line making unsinkability a selling point of the Titanic.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Nice job May. Insurance runs, anyone? I think Schoop owes Berrios a solo HR at the very least.Schoop just gave the team a big strikeout instead.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 That's not going to win the WS, maybe not even one playoff series. Get good playersGiles and a Kintzler-esque guy are good players... unless you don't think so? And I haven't discussed trading for a starter. That would definitely be in my plans, but I was only talking about the bullpen.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Guess we’ll have to hit 4 more homers to feel comfy They better not be with the bases empty.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 That bender by Rogers faked out the ump.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Brandon Kintzler wasn't marginal in 2017 and had a very good year, and Rodney was at least OK. So get a Ken Giles, a Kintzler-esque guy who's having a good year but is going to hit FA so he'll come cheaper, and then look for guys that might have been August waiver guys but that's not a thing anymore but they'll be better than Magill/other journeyman AAA guys.Rodney was OK? Ken GIles will come cheaper? He'll be the number one reliever trade target. And sorry, guys that might have been August waiver guys...is just trading out our marginal relievers for their marginal relievers. You just confirmed exactly what I said.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 4 walks and 24 K's in 15.2 IP, ERA under 3.In mostly low leverage situations
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Rogers doing what he does. Thankfully.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Glad Rogers has his "A" stuff tonight. If Cron gets on base, or Astudillo, Buxton comes in to PR and play CF in the 9th. In fact he should play CF in the 9th no matter what.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 May and Rogers, great job so far. I don't want to see Parker in this game. I guess I'd rather see Duffey or Morin, but if Rogers has another inning in him, that would be the best alternative.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 The Twins are in the midst of an interesting experiment. They seem to be trying to find out how long a successful team can survive while only having one reliever who has any business pitching in high leverage situations.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 If I see Parker getting trotted out there for the 9th I'm going to lose it

bighat Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Awful strike 1 call there on Garver. Robot umps now!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Dunno about you'se guys, but I wouldn't have been opposed to a couple insurance runs there.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Jesus kepler!! This reminds me of an early 90's DOS/PC baseball game I had that was licensed by MLB but not the MLBPA. So... real MLB team names and logos, real-ish MLB player stats, but player names were randomly generated from a small but... diverse database of firsts and lasts. And it had no first/last name ethnicity matching algorithm, so Jesus Kepler would've been right at home with teammates Darnell Fujiwara and Sergei O'Callahan.

twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Garver needs to be more aggressive with 2 strikes. There were at least 3 times this series where he watched a fastball right down the middle of the strike zone for strike 3.
