  1. I really feel bad about this situation, unfortunately I guess it happens to all players eventually. I've always been a Duffey fan. I really hopes he figures things out. Seems like a good guy.
  2. A good day. FO made some big moves, and I think they got what they wanted without overpaying. A solid foundation for a playoff run next year too. Let's go!
  3. I don't understand the question. If the lockout extends into the season how could one watch more games?
  4. I got through about half the game. Did better than I thought considering my two least favorite teams were playing. I thought the setting was just okay. Looked a bit like they were playing at Cracker Barrel Restaurant Field. The whole "is this heaven"? thing got a bit tiresome after the umpteenth time it was used. Again, it was a good mid-summer diversion but I'd be fine if they thought up something else for the years to come.
  5. I am curious as to how many have given the finger to greedy cable/streaming providers and are viewing the games through other "underground" channels? I may know at least a few who do. Maybe.
  6. Jim Kaat is a national treasure. We're so lucky to still be able to listen to him call a game.
  7. Bub's was made in Winona (later by Walters Brewing in Eau Claire). It wasn't horrible.
  8. A "skinny, injury prone body"?! The man is obviously in top physical condition. And as for "dumb" choices, the man plays his ass off.
  9. I'm glad I took advantage of the MiLBTV $29.00 subscription deal when it was offered. I'll spent the rest of the season watching the Saints/Wind Surge/Kernels and hoping for the future.
  10. Its fine in Spring Training when the games don't count. If integrated into the regular season, I'm afraid it would quickly become as boring and tedious as post game interviews. Let the boys concentrate on the game at hand. Entertain us with the play on the field.
  11. I'm hoping they use Kaat as much as he is willing to do. He is a treasure.
  12. My wish list: Castro: Yes (as a low cost backup) Cron: Yes Schoop: No Gibson: No Big Mike: Yes Odorizzi: Yes Perez: No Romo: Yes
  13. Solo home runs aren't going to beat you. Or so I've heard when the Twins hit them.
  14. Unless there is a major setback with his health issues, I have no doubt Gibby is on the post-season roster. Most likely as an "opener" in a bullpen game or middle innings relief.
  15. I definitely wasn't questioning your post. I was questioning the poster who appeared to be questioning your comment on Balazovic's good work ethic.
  16. Is there a question about his work ethic? I just read an article on MiLB.com that said: Like he did last year, he plans to spend the offseason working out in Fort Myers, trying to put on weight and build up strength. "I'm gonna be working on that changeup and my breaking stuff to be able to throw it whenever I want in counts and be more consistent with it," Balazovic said. Sounds like good work ethic to me!
  17. The article wasn't well received when it was first posted. I don't see the need to keep rehashing it. It's good to see Sano on a better career path. Hopefully, he can maintain his current trajectory.
  18. I'd much prefer a team of Dick Bremer and Ted William's defrosting head to the pair doing the Royals TV broadcast this weekend. Regardless of Dick's partner in the booth, we haven't got it so bad.
  19. Good get for the Twins! Probably one of the better controllable arms available.
