All the Cleveland guys have a mean face on, but having worked in MILB grounds for 8 years, it’s nice to see an umpiring crew call for the tarp early. It’s amazing that in 2019 it’s still acceptable to make a couple dozen people run out in a lightning storm to throw a giant tarp on a baseball field

I wish someone could solve the puzzle and get the performance out of Trevor May. So many of his pitches are of the no-hope variety.

I was poking around the MiLB site to see how the Twins kids were doing (the Wed Rings won with Arraez being held to 3-for-5 with a double). The Fresno pitcher has a perfect game through 5 against New Orleans. Two questions come to mind about New Orleans:

 

1. How in the world are they in the Pacific Coast League?

 

2. Who in the world would name a team the "Baby Cakes"?

 

I think I know the answer to the first one (merger of old American Association), but #2?
