Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I'm sure Parker is doing the best he can. That's the problem.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 You can't stop Roberto Perez. You can only hope to contain him.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 We didn’t need KimbrelMy money is on Parker being better than Kimbrel the rest of the year. And that’s not saying much, I’m pegging Parker for about a 4.50 ERA. There are better options than a guy who skipped spring training and hasn’t pitched since last year.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 So basically we need 6+ out of the starters or were screwed, regardless of how many “bombas” are hit.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Sort of karma for the bullpen to implode on the same night Kimbrel signs with the Cubs, no?

Unless we just get Taylor Rogers a bionic arm so he can give us 2+ every night
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Okay, now. Let’s hammer this Tribe bullpen.

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Let's try to hit pop ups to RF. Looks like the wind will do the rest.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Stakes? Sure, make em porterhouses, medium rare.

I’d bet against Kimbrel being some kind of get out of jail free card.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Maybe we can get Hildy back. He was good a few times
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Sort of karma for the bullpen to implode on the same night Kimbrel signs with the Cubs, no?I guess, but it's not like the bullpen suddenly pitches better because of the announcement of the Kimbrel move, so this crappy performance still happens and then we say "well that's why we signed Kimbrel".
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Including tonight's game, the Twins bullpen ERA is right around 7 for the past 2 weeks. It's going to be tough to keep winning when the bullpen is struggling so badly. Maybe it would be a good idea for the front office to finally make a move and get an upgrade or two.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 You're on.I like to cheer against the Cubs anyway.
Jake24 Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 When is the last time this organization actually gave something up to upgrade the current club when they were contending? A legit upgrade, not the typical dumpster diving.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Literally the last time they had a division lead? I mean, it didn't work at all, but yeah. Then.I guess that depends on whether one considers Capps legit.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I was poking around the MiLB site to see how the Twins kids were doing (the Wed Rings won with Arraez being held to 3-for-5 with a double). The Fresno pitcher has a perfect game through 5 against New Orleans. Two questions come to mind about New Orleans: 1. How in the world are they in the Pacific Coast League? 2. Who in the world would name a team the "Baby Cakes"? I think I know the answer to the first one (merger of old American Association), but #2? No. 2: http://news.sportslogos.net/2017/05/20/sweet-new-logo-the-story-behind-the-new-orleans-baby-cakes/
