I can't watch this. This is one of the worst innings I've seen defensively, and the pitching has been terrible too. I feel for Mariners fans right now.

Cron is first Twin this year to get two hits in an inning. First since Johnny Field last September.

These pitching staffs are atrocious. Why would anyone think it's better to have these guys out there than actual pitchers. Cut the pitching staffs down two guys per team and I bet outs are suddenly easier to come by.

If the Twins score 20 tonight to all Twins Daily posters get a free ice cream cone or something?  Seems fair.

 

We've scored 9 runs in 4 innings, and also had runners thrown out at second and third.  Yikes.

I concur, esp. with #3.

 

Although, I have fond memories of falling asleep with the transistor under my pillow trying to listen to those games on the Coast back in my young school days... Then having to wait for the afternoon paper to see who won the game the night before!

And these days, you find out before the game is played, right?

Second Moderator note: Game threads continue to be a source of frustration at Twins Daily. We hope to have a vehicle for discussing the game as it happens where those participating can feel like they are sitting with friends at the game. With the Twins doing well so far many of the threads have been just that, but a couple losses and a couple poor performances have turned the threads unpleasant for some of us who just want to enjoy the game with friends. The person who might disagree with you is probably just as smart and knows just as much about baseball. No personal attacks and no trolling. This is not the place to come and express every frustration with all things Minnesota Twins. If you don't like something Baldelli is doing, start a new thread. If you think the GM needs to be replaced or the junipers aren't the answer for a batter's eye, don't beat such issues into the ground. Let's try to keep game threads fun!

Try buying a beer for your TD friends.  You'll find a lot in common.
