I don't see how the Twins can continue to roster Adrianza. He just can't stick it and with Sano and Astudillo coming back, don't see how he doesn't get DFA'd. Not sure anyone even claims him and if a team does, you have Gordon and Torreyes in the minors if needed. Polanco will just have to suck it up and play every day; not that he's been given a day off thus far.

Gonzalez's defense is underrated. To go from 3b,rf, and 1b back to back to back and make good plays each position deserves some respect. Plus, his bat seems to be picking up

I'd rather have Cave on the bench with Marwin as the primary utility infielder. Despite Cave's low BA I think he's a much bigger threat at the plate than Ehire.

 

It's funny you mention Torreyes, as he's hitting about the exact same as Adrianza, except against AAA pitchers. He's hitting .128 with .439 OPS, and this is with the new juiced baseballs. Wow.

Great night from Berrios, the hitters struggled at times, but they let Sanchez work himself into trouble. Interesting that we went to Rogers for the save tonight, although I don't disagree with the move.

Twins Win again. Browntown loses again. Just like that, 538 gives the Twins a 78% chance at the playoffs and a projected win total of 93.

 

Just 6 short weeks ago, that projection was around 85. Wow!
