Heezy1323 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I don’t know much about analytics and all that fancy pants baseball stuff, but I feel like the pitching is going to need to be about 300% better if we are to contend. There is a 500% chance this is absolutely correct
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Dear Mr. Falvey - I hope you're having a great start to your week. As a more than casual Twins fan, I was wondering if you could please, please find some more bullpen support for this otherwise really good looking lineup that was constructed over the off season. Let me know how I can help. Thanks again or your consideration. Best regards,TwinssportoTwinsDaily Member since 2015
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Maybe we can convert May back to a starter again! He needs to play more fortnite

It has to be hubris- we are so smart we can turn a sows ear into a silk purse
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I would enjoy better swings from Mr Ehire than I’ve seen tonight
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 17, 2019 Author Posted April 17, 2019 It’s hard not to be a little concerned about May at this point. He was supposed to be one of the stable relievers.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I’ve never seen infield shifting backfire so spectacularly, as it has in this inning also... season is not over! To repeat for those getting caught up: 1. Sogard singles to right field, between Polanco and Adrianza who are standing right next to each other; 2. With one out, tailor made double play ball to second, but it’s no one’s job to cover second base because they’re all out of position; 3. With May standing on mound with the baseball, baserunner on second walks over to third base, because it’s no one’s job to cover third, because shift. I’m a huge Twins rube obviously, but... Just brutal. Also, season is not over
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I would enjoy better swings from Mr Ehire than I’ve seen tonightI think I know who I'm DFA'ing when Sano gets healthy. Plus, Torreyes is almost as good as he is, so we wouldn't be losing much.

denarded Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Area Man Shakes Head...Getaway Day lineup......Gibson "nibbling".......May just rough again...I know it's one game, but we have no business losing to this crap team 2 in a row at home. These are the kind of games you HAVE to wind to provide padding if you're hoping to be in the Post Season.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Ehire Adrianza's name is an anagram for 'diarrhea hardener'. If you throw away the Z and use some other letters twice. So... maybe not a perfect anagram in the classic sense... but still not worth noting.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I read that online somewhere too. It's gotta be true!Everything ever written online anywhere is 100% completely true fact. Believe it.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 17, 2019 Author Posted April 17, 2019 After almost every plate appearance this season, I’m more convinced the Buxton we were sold is actually real.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I'm sure it's hard to figure out if you have the strength to go six innings until you try to go six innings. How long was his last ST start? Honest question. I don’t know. He only pitched 7 2/3 innings in “A” games. But that doesn’t mean much. Odorizzi only pitched 3 innings in “A” games. It doesn't help that Gibson has been very good through four innings in two of his three starts. Hard to get a read on where a guy is physically if you don't push him into situations where he begins to weaken. That’s what ST is for. As I said, if he wasn’t ready, he shouldn’t have been rostered.

David HK Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I don't know who A T A is (or possibly A+A) but you need to make sure they are a part of your life until the bitter end.Heh... they are, and shall be-- My Kiwi rugby mate, (who for a time, was HK's only winemaker), and his lovely American wife...
Blake Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Depends. Do you like lemons? Reminds me of a story which has nothing to do with the game, so is perfect for a game thread. My wife and I had tea with a prim and proper Cypriot lady in Limassol one afternoon. We set up in her courtyard, which was full of lemon trees, to the point where they were littering the ground. She mentioned she had more than she knew what to do with, and my very Minnesotan wife immediately suggested making lemon bars. Being the supportive (read: loves lemon bars) husband that I am, I enthusiastically agreed. I looked up that recipe too after we left, and it begins something like this: "squeeze half a lemon into four cups of sugar..."
akmanak Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Same Twins different year. Bullpen is falling apart and we will be heading into May with a losing record.
Linus Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Who did we send down so I can enjoy the Tyler Duffy experience for the 17th time?
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I bet Duffy overpowers these guys. Being Pheeeeshishhhhhh
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Wait... Duffey's pitching? What?! I must have missed the transaction, I thought we usually create threads on moves like this?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Who did we send down so I can enjoy the Tyler Duffy experience for the 17th time?Vazquez this time... But if Duffey has shown us anything over the last couple of years, they bought a round trip ticket back to Rochester.
