Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Heck. Watching Stashak pitch lately I'm more inclined to trust him than Dyson at this point. Have you seen Dyson pitch at all this year? I haven't, so I'm not sure about what he has, but you obviously have to make the comparison, so I'm just curious what you've seen of him before today and could share with the rest of us.
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I still think it's a big ask ... just off the plane, okay, go pitch for your new team ... don't know the players or coaches, but go to it. Dyson's problem was that he couldn't locate. Exactly what one would expect when one doesn't get a chance to properly warm up. This one is on Rocco.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Seems like the two things the Twins offense hates the most are extra inning games and bases loaded situations
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 12 Twins batters in a row without a man on base

I mean, 3 run lead against Miami should be a gimme.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 So what we've learned is that if Rocco would've used anybody other than Dyson, the game would be over. Got it.He should've used a Kirby!

And even relief pitchers have an off day, even the best of them.

Well I just saw him fail to get an out against one of the worst offenses in the league and his ERA when not playing in San Fran is pretty high. Wasn't a huge fan of the trade when it was made and definitely am not a fan right now.
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I get it, new, excited, tired, disappointed even? But this is not what we needed when we think of help in the BP at first blush. Still going to get that pit in my stomach when the go to the BP.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Not going to happen today, is it?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Outs by Twins batters that is.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Not going to happen today, is it?We're not to the 18th yet
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 At least we're getting a look at what Stashak has to offer.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I think it'll go to Dyson because those were all his runs Good point, didn't realize that when Dyson came in it was a save situation. Thank you.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Welp... That is a really, really bad loss against a really bad team. Cannot let it spiral into another loss. See y'all tomorrow night, have a blessed Thursday night.

wavedog Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Way to grab defeat from the jaws of victory
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Ballgame. Every loss is a killer at this point in the season but this was a gut punch. Time to focus on KC I guess. Yuck.
