I will say, even fully acknowledging how the twins seem to wither against NY, I'm a bit surprised at how much of a david/goliath thing this matchup has seemed to become. It's not like the Yankees are some unbeatable force, or they wouldn't be in the WC round. Definitely some east coast bias in effect here.

 

Also, screw MLB for starting this game at 8:10 eastern time. Won't be over til midnight

Well, boys and girls, I need a distraction from life after the last 24 hours.  I won't get into details, but it suffices to say that this game (win or lose) could not come at a better time for me.

 

I know that deep in the bowels of MLB, they would love to see the Yankees advance.  I would remind those bowels that they still owe us for Mauer's fair ball.  Go Twins!
