Miguel Sano Appreciation Thread

[Vanimal46]

He hits the ball so freaking hard, man. Only 1 K in 8 PA! Near inches away from hitting a grand salami yesterday... Also, I don't think he's messed up any routine plays at 3B yet!

Sano just wants to be known as SUPER athletic, and to be loved. Let's love him on this thread.

[gunnarthor]

I predicted he'd be an all-star this year.

[GP830]

If the season was 2 games long, he'd have a strong case for MVP, No?

With a 378 OPS+ I'd say so!!

I've been mobile all week without a laptop! You're right, this thread sorely lacks video, gifs, and memes... Maybe another Sano lover can help us out.

First time I've seen it. It sure looks like a popup swing at first. Man is strong.

It is pretty amazing he can take a pitch that is diving down and in and drive it that far to the oppo power alley.

The oppo is the best part of it. He's going to hit a lot of doubles this year.

So excited for the 7th inning.

That is the way grown men hit popups.

From where I was sitting on Monday I didn't see the ball at all but heard the crack of the bat and you knew it was gone

Yes, but did you drink at his athleticism?

[nicksaviking]

Also pretty amazing he made it to third with ease. Not only because he's faster than he looks, but also because he hustled the whole way. Plenty of guys slimmer and speedier than him would trot that out assuming it was either gone or a fly out.

[Bark's Lounge]

I'm glad we have him and the enemy doesn't. The sky is the limit for this Hulk of a man. There seems to be a Zen type of cloud hovering over this team right now - I hope it stays! Let's prove the naysayers wrong.

Viva la revolución!!!

There were plenty of adult beverages consumed

20 more lbs and he would have stumbled around first because we all know Sano can't go to his left.

So the guy's not an ambiturner. Big deal!

Dude just continues to mash pitches all over the field....

[Vanimal46]

Has his last HR landed yet?

Windsor is being evacuated as I type this post.

On pace for 54 big ones so far. Keeping in mind that all three were absolute smashes, and he's got a couple close calls mixed in as well, I don't see why that pace shouldn't hold up. Honestly.

Holy moly. Don't see a lot of fly balls cruise over that 420 sign at Comerica

Point being, there may come a point, if not now, then in the next year or two, that Big Mig is considered the most dangerous power threat in MLB, so numbers like that shouldn't be out of the question.

Just an absolute moon shot.... He's so fun to watch this season.

If someone else hadn't posted what the Tigers announcers said about that today I would have.

Reusse has said that Sano will be the first player to hit a baseball over the third deck at Target Field. It *will* happen.
