I know when the meetings are scheduled to end.  Perhaps I should have said, why are the Twins flying home?  If two top prospects are already on the table, and you're serious about trading him, that's when you sit down and hammer out a final agreement.  Just don't tell the Pohlads you got charged extra for not checking out of the hotel in time.

You know plenty of trades happen with no "hint" on Mlbtraderumors up until they happen. Especially when it involves the Twins.

For a major trade, involving a major media market (LA), I'd say that is pretty rare.  This isn't like Hicks-for-Murphy flying under the radar.

Why doesn't everyone just take a deep breath and back off DaveW. You should be a little grateful that he continues to reply to all the critics. If I was DaveW I would stop posting until it is going to happen and hopefully everyone can take a minute and realize how they are acting.

If a deal happens everyone will look like a fool for their petty little shots at someone who is trying to help.

I'm not a critic. I actually believe DaveW. Seems like he wouldn't just make this up for the heck of it. Just think its cool that we can ask for an update and he will actually give one unlike most.

Additionally I'm not a blogger, journalist nor am I ever trying to be one, so I'm not looking for any "scoop", just reporting what my friend in one of the two orgs is saying (and have been right multiple times in the past)

On that note -- maybe the Dodgers executives raided the Twins minibar for snacks during the negotiations, and they have to fully settle that bill before the trade can proceed.
