Game Thread: Twins @ Astros, 9/5 @ 6:10pm CT

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

There's a good exciting and a bad exciting. Not sure which this is. I'll let you know after the game.

Game over. Which one was it?

[David HK]

Holy........

Wow.

You know, I think I'll just have a wing tonight, I can't eat much after that.

[ShouldaCouldaWoulda]

Like his smile there at the end;) May should be closing now, and Jepsen in the 8th. Nothing against Jepsen, just believe May is better and would do better. Experience is the only reason this isn't being done, which is kinda silly.

Just correlating the Buxton situation.

I know.

Just givin' ya hard time, i guess.

Sorry about that.

[DaveW]

Buxton! You sexy son of a bitch!!!!

[jimbo92107]

Apparently I was about 30 seconds behind some of y'all's broadcast.

Cadillac outfield!!

Talk about drama!  My eyes were glued but my body was squirming.

[DaveW]

As a Nebraska fan, that ALMOSt makes up for the way the huskers lost today on a freaking Hail Mary.

[howeda7]

The OF defense saved this game. Hunter's butt should be welded to the bench...

[stringer bell]

Win-Santana. "Save"-Jepsen, really Buxton.

I'm sure RiverBrian's got your back.

He'll eat wings for us all.

And we'll find out about the blue cheese once and for all (did it take the high road or the low, to say nothing about Scotland)

Anyway, thanks for the company!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Those were some of the hardest hit line drives in the history of baseball in that inning. Glad we had the outfielders to make the plays.

[Blake]

Excuse me while I go put some nitroglycerin under my tongue.

Wow.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Wow Buxton. Line drive smoked and he raced in to catch it, doing a little roll at the end. That is not an easy catch in that situation!

[DaveW]

Man, what a huge win! Buxton, obviously a stud on D but had some really nice at bats tonight as well, should have had two doubles. Hopefully this is just a sign of more to come.

I'm not so sure about that the way the Astros tee off on the fastball.

[spinowner]

Any major leaguer worthy of his uniform plays to win every time, but tonight we saw that there's a big difference between a 1-run game between two contending teams and a 1-run game between two teams not in contention.

[Squirrel]

I wonder if Chief yelled out 'WINNAH!' from his seat at Minute Maid!

[Squirrel]

That ending had me reaching for the Tums.

[Craig Arko]

Rangers-Angels 1-1 in the 5th.

I just hope he brought an extra pair of depends with him

Tee hee.....Huskers.

Good thing I was eating a bag of popcorn, the bag came in handy when I started to hyperventilate.

[Jerr]

Whooo who....TWINS WIN 3 TO 2!!!!!

[AlwaysinModeration]

Great W. Somehow need to find a way to win tomorrow against Keuchel to scrape out another series win.

[jimmer]

George Springer is definitely the goat for the Astros today.  Misplayed a ball that allowed two Twins to score and struck out 4 times.

[USAFChief]

Was at game. Routine win. CBU.

BTW, who was it that posted "Santana's got this" right before game time?

Someone trying to jinx things and luckily didn't.
