Until they have to 4 innings of each Odo start and 5-6 for each of the 3-5 starters.

Seems they learned their lesson from the Addison Reed signing. Keep it short, sweet and always leave yourself with a way out.

Would have liked to see either Steve Cishek, Will Harris, Daniel Hudson, or Brandon Kintzler. Simply it came down to money of course.

Next let's bring back Pat Neshek on a minor league deal.

I like this signing.  The depth of quality bullpen arms could be going well into the AAA roster.  Anyone with an option out there house left of the batter's eye should be figuring out what they will do with all the frequent flyer miles.  

Prediction: Alcala will not last in the big leagues. Sorry. I know most people are very high on him. I just don’t see it. And that 5.29 ERA in AA makes me scratch my head how he even got to the bigs.

I'm curious why Cleveland puts him in games that they lose? His first 11 appearances the Indians lost all 11. He had no blown saves.

I actually like this move. I have been wishing they'd have signed him a couple other times over his career. 

Another Vet in the bullpen to help out our young guys. I like it. This guy has done it well for quite a few years. And, like said, if he loses it, he is easy to DFA and change directions. 

I was just looking at that exact phenomenon. The Twins really did enjoy facing him this season.

Thanks for finding this info. I distinctly remembered us getting some big hits off him this past season. That's why my initial reaction to this signing was not enthusiastic. Now seeing that his ERA was 2.01 in games not pitched against the Twins I give it a definite thumbs up. No mystery about why he thought we'd be a good team for him to pitch for.
