And Kreidler with his .181 batting average in the majors has shown he isn't a major league player. Why aren't you giving the same opportunity to Ross. I am not saying he will be successful or a bust, but if you are going to compare minor league numbers as the basis of comparison than Ross deserves as much of a chance as Kreidler. But for this FO, they perceive Kreidler as a vet and give him preference even though he has not done anything that says he has earned it. This is why we keep riding the mediocrity train. I don't know how good of a fielder Ross is, so perhaps I'm off, but my comments were made based on how the Twins used him - seems like they don't believe in him as a prospect. Fangraphs does have him as a top 30 prospect (#30) and a 55 fielder, so perhaps there is more upside there. Maybe they always planned to add him to the 40 man after the season was order to protect him from Rule 5, but I dunno... neither of these two are going to hit well enough to make an impact in the majors.

If they were to devote the rest of the season to systematic anti-platooning, to really "find out what we've got," I'd be a little bit impressed. Right-handers in particular need to be able to hit righties at least tolerably, or they basically have no career. HarmonK03 and DocBauer 2
Andy MacPhail Verified Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago There's a lot more riding on Emma, IMO, he should have been called up sooner. He should be hungry. Nevertheless, wish you well, Emma. Have a great MLB run, what is left to it.

But now that he’s up? Caratini is clearly not the answer for 2027. good for Erod, he and Jenkins need to be on the outfield every day Caratini was/is exactly who he's been, a slightly above average defensive catcher who has a streaky bat. He's performed at pretty much as expected. DJL44 1
