The only time either of these starters have seen the sixth inning this year was when Abel began his outing in the fifth.  The Tigers have asked a lot out of their bullpen this series, while the Twins' bullpen has created a lot of work for themselves.

So whose bottom of the bullpen can be the least ineffective?  Acton, today may be your day

This series with the Tigers has been encouraging on the field (nearly blowing the lead on Wednesday was somewhat disturbing, however).
I was one of the few in attendance for two of the games (Monday and Wednesday).  The attendance was the least I have seen since the days of the un-air-conditioned Metrodome in the early 80s and the old Met in the 70s.
The fan base is demoralized.   Maybe they could sign Lucas Giolito to a one year $15 million contract as a peace offering to the weary fans  (if Giolito would take it).

I don’t see it happening.   Attendance will pick up as the weather warms up and if the Twins continue to show some fire.  But something more needs to be done to put fannies in the seats -  There are so few now that the pool of  “celebrity look-alikes” is so low that it’s becoming an even more bizarre side-show to the games.

Do they still have the cardboard COVID fans behind the bullpen?

Two struggling starting pitchers. Let's hope Abel is the first to bounce back.

As for the long-term prospects for the Twins and fan attendance - it's been a good week of baseball, but JFC, that bullpen. Sometimes, they're victims of circumstance thanks to the play in the field behind them - but, they're also more than culpable. There's no one for Shelton to trust in that group - and over the course of 162 games, a bad 'pen will bury you.

What stinks is that if you put Lou and Duran back on this team, if you squint enough, you'd see the potential makings of a contender in the AL Central because I don't envision anyone running away with the division - including Detroit.

As long as the twins are beating two of the best pitchers in baseball

Best pitchers?

I kinda just thought we were just hammering southpaws...

No Luke ,  ??  any one know why ?

Just a day off. He's played every game, so it's just a breather. I wouldn't do it when he's playing well, but that's why I'm not the manager.

I wouldn't mind more music recommendations, but figured i'd offer something more respectable by way of example, even if it is already April....

We need a batter to choose a nice rousing march as his walkup song.  Three Cheers For The Red White And Blue!

I’ve got a recommendation for James Outman:

Yakkity Sax for Brooks Lee next time it's a bunting situation.

Two challenges on the first 6 pitches of the game... Tigers already down to just one challenge left.

Yes because umpires around the league so visibly favor the Minnesota Twins.

What are you doing up there? Go grab a rake and help out on the field

Slacker.

Phew! Loud out is still an out. Going to need Mick to throw some innings today. Bullpen is gassed. I presume Rogers, Acton, and Orze are the only three that are available?
