Wow the Lewis bromance is officially over

And the sooner we're done with this bust of a 1st round selection, the better.

Another situation I think we'll see a lot of this season.

And yet that didn't apply to Funderburk/Chafin

True, but Chafin's velocity was not good and he's getting old and Funderburk was the better choice, I think. And Chafin was not on the 40-man roster.

Yeah them but the missed runs early was the culprit. As we knew it would happen.

We have just seen the 2026 Twins team in a microcosm in this 2-1 loss. Great starting pitching, the relievers let in all the runs, the Twins hitters hit zero balls behind the runners to move the numerous runners along, no bunts, grounded into 3 double plays and 1-12 with runners in scoring position. Alas.

Wasted brilliant start……check

Limited defensive range…..check

Critical Defensive Gaff……check

Abysmal situational hitting….check

What am I missing?

Inexplicable substitutions?

Blacked out so my only game experience is reading the comments.

Defense in mid season form. Lees lack of range is not ideal but it is a physical limitation. Martin throwing to the wrong base is an inexplicable mental mistake. That’s a play that you learn in Legion ball. Would have been a tie ball game. I don’t think Martin is the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Perhaps this explains the PH for him

OK, who TF are you and what have you done with Peter?

Came back, was about to post the first thing that popped into my head, then stopped and said, better check I didn't get ninja'd about an hour ago or anything.  Whew.

Rogers has to be one of the worst, if not the worst, “Aces” in the league. If that’s all this lineup can do, it’s gonna be a long season. Nice job Joe! Super start!

Topa has a mediocre fastball with little to no movement. He stunk last year, and he stunk during Spring training, and has a penchant to hang pitches in the hitting zone. No idea why Twins are rostering Topa beyond the money they are paying him. He has not been successful during his Twins run.  One of my least favorite Twins players in the last decade. This is a poorly constructed roster. There is some talent but the bullpen is very below average. This doesn't appear to have the makings of a team that will win very many games.

I'm ready for Brooks Lee to play third base and if Lewis cannot play some first base move on from him. This team needs Culllpepper at SS just for his range.

Brooks Lee has been a worse hitter than Lewis over the past 2 years. Why are we moving him to third?

For one year, his glove worked well at third.
