It's great to see this rivalry back with two evenly matched teams battling it out late in the season.

Let's hope for a White Sox sweep. That would make us 10 GB with 32 games to go. We can still catch them!

Hope springs eternal.  With the way the players have been playing it is certainly possible. Not probable but possible. The White Sox would have to do their part and win a bunch of games also.

Phil Miller article in Strib:

Recent acquisitions could fill in starting pitching roles vs. White Sox

Taj Bradley and Mick Abel, both acquired in trade-deadline deals, could make their Twins debuts this weekend.

Mick Abel starting tomorrow?????????

He was support to start for the Saints tomorrow, Dan Hayes reported Abel traveled with the Twins to Chicago.  So it looks likely Abel will make a start this weekend.  He also reported Bradley could make a start, but no word on whether he is in Chicago.

Bradley is still listed as the Saints scheduled starter for Sunday.  Then again, Abel is listed as the scheduled starter Saturday.  The next TBD starter for the Twins after Saturday is Tuesday according to ESPN (Ryan Sunday, Ober Monday), while MLB has everything TBD after today.

If I had to guess, Bradley is Tuesday in Toronto, which would explain why only Abel was reported as traveling to Chicago

I guess we'll know Sunday.

Glad to hear it! One less TBD start every 5 games, and we get to watch a pitcher under 25 years old. Progress!

I am not going to diss any other team and the Sox have exciting young players coming up too. However.. having Abel begin his Twins tenure on the road against a lesser opponent is ideal in my mind.

.If we don't have Pablo Day any more after this season maybe The Abel Outs is a thing..

Subdued, it's a Julien-Ohl on the excitement scale. Good, good.

How much longer will the ridiculous Ohl fascination be a thing? He is terrible.

I'm guessing that if Abel is up Urena will be let go and Hatch to long relief. Maybe if Taj or Prielipp comes up Ohl goes?
