Nah. They're worth $1.5 billion. The Pohlads can take that, pay off the $350 and still have a billion dollars left over. Dad paid $35 million for them.

That's not how it works. Pohlad wants $1.7 BB for the team, the team is $350 MM in debt, that's makes the sale price go over $2 BB, no bank is going to approve a loan for that.... Plus Pohlad want to stay on to run the team...not gonna happen

I have and will never praise a player for their leadership. With this club, that trait seems to be used almost exclusively to excuse either a bad player or a regrettable contract.

I only care what these guys do on the diamond, and that's how it should be.

Ditto, but Correa in particular has had quite a bit of praise heaped on him for being a leader, mentor, ect.

Right, hence the 'regrettable contract' caveat to my post.

I also always like the Mauer 'leads by example' bit we always heard. That one was a classic.

It's funny that the Twins always have their OWN Micky Gasper, whether it's Keirsey, or Michael Helman or Jair Camargo or Chris Williams or Mark Contreras, but they have no interest in giving those guys a look unless they absolutely have to.

But you get some other team's Gasper or Andrew Stevenson or Ryan Lamarre, oh boy, we found a diamond in the rough here fellas, wait until the league sees what we do with this guy!

The grass is always greener with this club.

The "greener grass" this club sees with the Gasper's of the world is in reality that garbage they spread on Metropolitan field for a December game in 1972 to make it look greener on TV.

This team will eventually win some games (White Sox are up soon right?) and we'll hear about how Correa had player X, Y, and/or Z with him in the cage. Can't wait.

Mickey Gasper hitting with the tying and winning runs on base in the bottom of the 9th and then CHECK SWINGING for the final out is all you need to need to know about this season.....

The game of baseball finds when your a black hole and don't belong. Indictment of Rocco.

The debt they've accumulated is their choice and their problem.

They aren't going to get $1.7 billion. It's worth $1.5 billion and it's not going to go up much, if at all as they train wreck attendance, TV viewership and stare down the barrel of a work stoppage in a year. They can either take $1.5 billion now or hope to get $1.5 billion in 2 years after they've accumulated another $100 million in debt.

Yeah, I'll tune that nonsense out. I want to hear Correa had player X, Y and/or Z crossing home plate.

If the coaches and manager don't have those guys that need it in the cages instead of the freakin' shortstop, what the hell are they even doing?

This! Rocco's pet. The third catcher stuff is utter nonsense. Worse than having a Punto or Hocking. At least those guy's could pick it and had speed. You know brought actual value to the game. Hocking and Punto didn't bring much offense, but they were really good defensive players.

Hocking and Punto are Mickey Mantle in comparison to Mickey Gasper.

You have that right. They brought value to the game and fantastic defense. Gasper isn't the reason we're seeing Twins losing, but it is a symptom.  Alcala stunk it up no way to sugarcoat getting no outs even on a tough luck hit.

3M does

Now I need to investigate what 3M did to the waterbodies of Minnesota

I know I’ve been watching this franchise since the 1960’s but I’m completely at a loss to explain how a MLB team, who considers itself “competitive”, has a Mickey Gasper getting 4 ABs as a DH, at the plate in the bottom of the ninth with the winning run on base. This is the genius roster construction of the Falvey FO.

But i'm glad that the genius Rocco pitch-ran Bader for Julien earlier in the inning.....

I don't care RH vs. LH.....anyone rather have Gasper hitting in that situation rather than Bader?????

This x10000! A once proud franchise has become a laughing stock! Griffith family and Pohlads family are all the same!

Billionaires just toying with us…..

Yeah, you don’t want to read “forever chemicals” in your drinking water. I’m a proud bottled water aficionado. Right out of that plastic bottle lol

It'll probably get lost in the wash with everything that went wrong this game but yeah Idk why you're subbing out Julien in that situation for Bader with a runner right in front of him on 2nd and Gasper on deck. I guess you're hoping Bader scores on an extra base hit where Julien wouldn't? Idk. That seems like a stretch.

It didn't matter, but if you're giving up an OF spot Idk why you wouldn't pinch hit Bader for Gasper to do it. If Gasper comes through and the inning ends tied at 7 (and let's be honest, Vazquez was up next) Bader is moving to a corner, Larnach or Wallner are out, Miranda has to come in at 3B, and Castro has to slide to 2B. All of that commotion and a completely empty bench heading into extra innings just to keep Gasper at DH.
