That's not a factor.--    you dont think salary matters,   same with rocco playing stiffs like Paddock over younger guys who should play

Not in this case. On a team with a $140 million payroll they're going to insist the manager stay when he makes less than Chris Paddock and his replacement will make what Mickey Gasper makes? It's a non-factor. If they continue like this they will be dumping player salary left and right that dwarfs what the managers are paid.

The statement was Rocco is on the hot seat; there is nothing in print or anywhere else stating this. TD posters can argue he should be fired until their keyboards break, Falvey makes this decision, not TD.

Why would anything need to be in print?

I don't see this team firing Baldelli even if they lose their next 20 games, but in every other clubhouse, the manager would clearly be on the hot seat. He should be worried, the players should be worried, but they clearly aren't, which to me is not an endorsement of Baldelli.

I can't stand the hand wringing about having a game where you are forced to lose the DH. This is a complete lack of critical thinking. Oh, no, we lose the DH for one whole at bat! The DH in this case being Mickey Gaspar, who has two whole hits this year makes it even more of non-issue.

Not. A. Big. Deal.

Actually DH Gasper has 2 hits in his entire career.  He's a joke.

Did anyone think Jim Pohlad would really fire Terry Ryan in 2016 or ever? No. But sometimes it's so bad you have no choice.

I know this is facetious, but it's odd how the lethargic nature of this club is seemingly being pinned primarily on the manager when there are players who are constantly praised for their leadership, preparedness, ect.

Teams with leadership don’t play as poorly for as long as this bunch has. And there’s actual talent, which makes it worse

Falvey's Gasper/Vazquez pairing at the bottom of the line-up has worked great as expected.

Just like Wallner leading off.

The players as a collective right now stink.  Time to unload the apathy., and find guy's who give a sh!t.

fire...yeah, I think that Baldelli has a good deal of support among the local media (Barrerio today said talk of firing him is absolutely crazy) and, most importantly, the Pohlads. But Rocco is on a very hot seat in that the Twins are going to be sold, (possibly soon?) and the new owners will not keep him around...no way. Rocco must certainly be aware of this.

Since Ishbia removed himself from purchasing the Twins there has not been anything indicating other interested parties and tonights broadcast stated that there is a deadline set by the team for a sale to happen. No buyers mean no new owners wanting to put their guy in place. Again, most (all?)of the fire Baldelli rhetoric is strictly here on TD.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I'd love it if the same media (or fans) who fawn over guys like Correa were the ones asking him why this team, himself included, seems to be going through the motions for an extended period of time.

Gleeman tweeted the attendance announced at the game is 12,900. People are speaking with their wallets. The product on the field is unacceptable

They could legitimately be looking at losing $50-75 million this year. Good. They deserve it. Take the best offer you can and sell the $%% team already.

They do seem to give up. Maybe they have movie reservations.

Seriously?  I thought that attitude started in the first inning of all our games.

It's funny that the Twins always have their OWN Micky Gasper, whether it's Keirsey, or Michael Helman or Jair Camargo or Chris Williams or Mark Contreras, but they have no interest in giving those guys a look unless they absolutely have to.

But you get some other team's Gasper or Andrew Stevenson or Ryan Lamarre, oh boy, we found a diamond in the rough here fellas, wait until the league sees what we do with this guy!

The grass is always greener with this club.

In every other clubhouse Baldelli would have been fired after last season's collapse. Baldelli is safe for as long as Falvey is here.

Truly. Not even halfway through April and we’re buried in the standings. Good thing I got practice last year not watching them for months. I’ll be doing the same during the dog days of summer
