Bad series loss to a painfully mediocre team. Although, without the White Sox, that's where we would stand as well. Jax and Duran down tomorrow night because of Rocco's genius.

The bats lost this game today.  Bases loaded in one inning, first & third in another, 3rd with 1 out in the 8th.  Plus, letting Fedde get in their heads for a 3rd time this season.

But once again also, it's the little things in the game that leads to this loss and while the Lewis PH situation worked, there is ZERO reason to pinch-hit Wallner in that (or any) situation.  HOW ARE THE YOUNG LEFTIES GONNA LEARN TO HIT LEFTIES UNLESS YOU PUT THEM IN THAT POSITION????  Surely, Wallner could make a productive out.  But then to double down on the questionability (my preferred word would earn me a BS point) by PH someone who is going to cause a total scramble drill on defense and lessen it in the process is just mind boggling.  I will continue to say it until proven multiple times otherwise -- he's the worst clutch situation manager in the game.

I have no complaints about the bullpen usage. A 2-1 game you gotta go with your horses. If it wasn't for the error all would be well.

I'm talking about yesterday when Jax and Duran were used in a 6-0 game. Technically 5-0 game for Jax.

This won't be popular and it will also be contrary to what I normally say.

Here goes... I may have considered pinch hitting Farmer for Wallner in that situation. Even if it was a right handed pitcher on the mound.

The only reason that I would consider it.

K's. Contact.

Wallner K's a lot and Farmer K's much less. Runner on third with one out. Simple contact can bring that run home.

The problem remains in my eyes is that we don't have a better pinch hitting option on the roster for that moment. All roster spots are important.

This loss is gonna sting in September. On this quote,  recently  Farmer hasnt hit well. His pinch hit effort Friday was poor, and today's results were the same. There was no way Juliene should have been on defense in 9th. To many wasted opportunities this year where Twins have beaten themselves. I would have let Wallner hit against the lefty. If you trust him to bat clean-up you need to start trusting him in later in games. Nootbar was pain in butt all weekend.

How about letting Eales come up if Lee is still rehabbing?  Gotta be better than Julien in the field, and definition of a plucky player and a terrific story.

Still in good shape because Boston lost and KC losing as well. But you gotta beat teams like this if you want to catch the Guardos.

Twins have had a million chances already to catch Cleveland. I’m kind of sick of hearing about them when we blow so many games ourselves

Yep, using farmer as a defensive replacement should be the only option for the next 2 weeks.  Same with Margot.

I have been saying for years that Julien is not a major league player.    Yes, Rocco managed horribly but my question is why that guy is on this team?

I'm pretty sure he's active because both Correa and Brooks Lee are hurt.

This is on Rocco as much as Julien. He knew Julien is a defensive liability. That and Farmer isn't a great defender. This game should be over. Players have to make plays but Rocco sucks! This one is on him.

70-30 on Rocco

If I've told you once, I've told you a million times not to exaggerate.

Yep, I'm about done even checking their scores. There's no point. The Twins could have a game 163 to win the division and they would lose that game 100 times out of 100.

Dont.  There isnt a reason other then Rocco.

No reason to cut him any slack , no reason at all , cost us 3 games since last Sunday  and he has an ex manager next to him , they both gotta go , injuries have been a problem  but so has our manager ...

I will never cut him any slack ...

The problem is that by carrying dead weight like Margot, it removes the ability to have a real second baseman on hand.   I know that that is the reason Farmer is on the team to replace the gloveless wonder late in games, but Rocco completely negated that opportunity today with his managing.
