This is on Rocco as much as Julien. He knew Julien is a defensive liability. That and Farmer isn't a great defender. This game should be over. Players have to make plays but Rocco sucks! This one is on him.

Julien's been unreliable in the field but that was more than an ordinary error.  That was a brain malfunction.

This won't be popular and it will also be contrary to what I normally say. 

Here goes... I may have considered pinch hitting Farmer for Wallner in that situation. Even if it was a right handed pitcher on the mound. 

The only reason that I would consider it. 

K's. Contact. 

Wallner K's a lot and Farmer K's much less. Runner on third with one out. Simple contact can bring that run home. 

The problem remains in my eyes is that we don't have a better pinch hitting option on the roster for that moment. All roster spots are important.
