I'd guess it would be nearly impossible for Miranda to hit an inside the park home run.

I think the best he can do is an inside the park triple.

By the way, the White Sox were mathematically eliminated from the divisional race last night. If they win out, they get to 71 wins. Cleveland had 70 wins going into today, the Twins 66 and Kansas City 65, but they play enough games amongst themselves that at least one of them has get to 72 or more, even if all three teams lose all their other games.

They’ve been eliminated from the wild card for a while, since so many teams are at least close to 72 wins already and they all play each other.

But they did 10-run the Yanks last night and that should have banished NYY to AAA.

It was my understanding that there would be no math.

IT Jr. told me last night, and I forgot until now. After they snapped their losing streak, his comment was, “They are so bad they can’t even break the losing streak record.”

Theilbar is pretty good when the Twins have an 8 run lead.

They should.put me in.  I'd walk the bases full, walk in 2 runs, but literally ANYONE who came in after me would look like vintage Randy Johnson.

Yeah....I see where last night Naylor was struck out in the 3rd inning or so which would have been the 3rd out....instead it was called a ball and they went on to score 5 runs.

84% of the umpire crews might have a guy from Cleveland and the other 16% could have a guy from Dayton  or Columbus. They're just lucky. That's all.  If you say it often enough it may be true. How lucky can a team be? I mean how lucky can Farmer be to get his 1st homer in Aug.

I feel like when the Yanks are eliminated, you pop champagne.   When the white Sox bow out...?  Beer and Brat?

Relegation isn’t a factor in MLB, but in this case, it probably should be.
