Both starters making their season debuts. Ross hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021.

Buxton is the DH and Wallner rides the pine. Castro in center field, with Farmer getting a start at third.

While I was disappointed with the output against Junis yesterday, if the Twins struggle against the journeyman Ross today, it tells me they are in a real hitting funk. It is crucial to get to the starter because Milwaukee has a really good bullpen.

Five of the nine Brewers hitters have more hits this season than any of the Twins hitters. I'm ready for the Twins bats to wake up.

Also, as usual the Twins are giving everyone regular starts.

Except Martin, seems like a Buxton DH game would be a good chance to try him in CF. Is he only up to be a pinch runner? If they aren't going to let him play, why'd they call him up? A right handed pinch hitter, like Miranda, would have been of much more use than a guy who's only going to pinch run for hitters who's bats may be needed later in the game.

Many thanks!

I might gotten impatient again.

And for those too lazy to look up starters, the Twins have Paddack pitching today, and Milwaukee has Ross. I am not sure if there is any relation to the pbs painter of the 80s, but i am glad to know there will be happy little foul pole on the extreme edge of right field.

With Wallner out - 3 pure lefties are stacked at 1,2 and 4 in the lineup.

I'll bet money right now that after Ross is pulled... either left hander Hudson or Milner is brought in to face the top of the order. With Ross it's possible it's a quick pull. At least we hope it's a quick pull.

That will put Margot and Martin into the game early.

Wallner is either dinged up or he is being saved for pinch hit duties in the 9th with Uribe and Payamps the right handed firemen.

Milwaukee also has an off day tomorrow so I think the entire pen would be at Pat Murphy's availability.

If this was the Rays, you could bet they'd put the lefty in to start the second time through the order and force the Twins hand. I'd love to see Baldelli hold his water and let Julien and Kirilloff have ONE frightful at bat against a lefty so as to have their bats available at the end of the game.

I'm getting the sinking feeling Carlos Santana is going to lead the Twins in PAs in 2024.

And not because he is the reincarnation of Barry Bonds in his prime, i take it?

Oh right, the game is about to start...

Yeah, I don't get having Willi Castro being an everyday starter in the lineup... might as well see what we have in Austin Martin. Too bad he's not ready to play the outfield because the front office was too preoccupied with him getting reps at SS that he would never be able to do in the majors.

?five? pitches to get through 3 hitters

This is especially frustrating with Julien at the top of the order.  He's been jumpy to start the season, and he's usually really patient.
