Yep, Jeffers is sooo much better with the bat than Vazquez; SIT him tomorrow.

110.7 off the bat and shortstop dove to make play.  He has had the 2 of the hardest hit balls today and got plunked.  Yeah its his fault.  Easy Hot Take

I think the game goes differently if we scored in the first inning. Maybe not a win but you can feel the pressure when we’ve had guys ISP. Correa had the big hit in the first inning on Sunday and it took some pressure off the other guys IMO. Missing chances in the first and third was just a bad omen

A lot of the time it's not what or how something unfolds in a game, but it's when it happens.  We all are familiar with guy who hits the occassional hr, but can't do squat with RISP.

Getting something back, and soon, after that top 1 was crucial.

The next run means a lot, and thr sooner the better.

Weird question time: Jose Altuve is 5'6'' and weighs 165 lbs.. I am undoubtedly stronger than him. But when I pickup a wood baseball bat, it still feels heavy, and Altuve makes it look like a wiffle ball bat.. is that because he has strong wrists?

To be as successful as he is at 5’6” and 165, I’m guessing Altuve is one of those guys whose muscles have muscles.

I would say it is because he has developed his wrist strength, while you probably have not had the reason to do so.

His massive .133 BA speaks for itself.

Wow you are on a roll... got a pitch, hit hard and their defense made the play.  My goodness

Then no one had better complain that the Twins are losing, get real.

Or how you react to it.

Are you picking up a 4×4 oak post shaped like a baseball bat? I have a 33 oz bat. It still seems light. I just can't swing it without hearing 40 cracking sounds from all the old joints.

He did hit it hard...and into the ground.

Some bad luck, but part of pitchers getting GIDPs is the G. Ground ball.

So it wasn't just purely bad luck.

Yeah probably.. I could probably beat him up so i'll just count that as a win

Having to go back to Houston and beat verlander (if he doesn’t pitch tomorrow) is just

But we'll have Pablo on the mound if we can get there.

At this point I pray we have to go back to Houston.

Rocco treating the guys to Pizza and beer at his condo.  Wants to let them unwind.  11:03 curfew will be enforced.

Yeah idk the weight but it is a bat from the Louisville slugger shop in Kentucky. It feels like I'm swinging a 50 oz bat. There is no way I could wiggle it/swing it as hard/fast as Altuve.

I get that Jeffers stole your gf or insulted your mother or something.

What I don't get is what you saw from Vazquez this season that makes you think he's better. He was brutal at the plate this season.

....an almost insurmountable task.

Finished it for you there. Yeah it's bad.

Gotta win tomorrow, first time this team has faced an elimination game. I'm afraid I know how they'll respond but they've surprised me before. Unfortunately this offense looks like they're in a dry patch and these offensive cold snaps can last weeks with this team.
