That was before AK made a pretty dang big error in the field, struck out once and tapped out to the 2nd baseman on a weak swing.  For all intents and purposes he was pretty useless today.  I see nothing wrong with letting Solano hit for him there.

This game seems Very similar to a regular season game against Houston, when the announcer said that Maeda got the first , first batter, for the Twins, in the game.

It surprised me, too, so I looked it up. My main point is to remind us that there’s usually something underneath a move that’s contrarian. Heck — we don’t even know if Kirilloff tweaked a hammy or something.
