SotaSports in NM Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 I wonder if the Guardians are gonna get fined for this BS? There's no precedent of it, but this is anti competitive and gives the league a bad look. I think a rule barring this will come up. I can't imagine the players association liking this, either.

Cris E Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 There is a rule and it says 10 runs, no restrictions. It was considered and this is the primary case for it: the situation where a team is coming off a tough series and rolling into a tougher division series with a tired pen. It was discussed and a team is allowed to give up after yielding a ten run gap.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 What's more annoying? Position players pitching or real pitchers without the stuff to put away same sided hitters? Parfigliano 1

rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 I'd like to see Headrick get through this without any more runs allowed
GusGus11 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 As fantastic as tonight has been there is still one negative We continue to roster the same pitchers in a rotating revolving door that we know flat out cant do it. Headrick is awful. If you cant do 18-1 mop up duty you have got to get off the roster. CRF, wabene, 9moons27 and 1 other 3 1

CRF Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Too bad they sent Sands down. This game would be perfect for him to eat some innings.
Cris E Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 It's still 80 degrees in Cleveland, so I wonder when Tito pulls the plug on this and runs out his bench to rest the starters?

That kind of meltdown in ZERO leverage is career-shortening.
