I do not like the usage but it does make sense if your team is battling to win every game and find yourself down early like Cleveland did tonight. Fans hate it but the batters hate it worse when they make an out. Ugly baseball.

I get it. I thought it was bush also. How about saying you can’t bring in a hitter until at least the eighth?

At the same time, what can you do? From time to time, we talk about how great of a game baseball is, because there’s always a chance, you can’t run out the clock, etc.

Most likely. It sucks for him but when your very MLB existence is hanging by a thread he has to at least be getting the lefties out.
