Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Things were looked fantastic last week against the tigers, up 4-0 early on. It’s been an utter nightmare since then. Conceivably could have won’t every game since then
Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I dontv think this is funny that bullpen couldn't hold on to win either game ... They could have signed bullpen help last winter or even deadline but choose not to .... Will there excuse be that injuries hampered the season again and trainer gets fired again and they keep all the same coaches ,,, Again I don't think this is funny ...
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 It's a short flight home for them. But hopefully they can rebound.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Some piss poor play, some piss poor managing, some piss poor GMing, with Ortega not available today and a replacement an hour plane ride away. No bullpen tomorrow, with Texas in town. Battle ur tail off, mrtwinsfan, Mike Sixel and 1 other 3 1

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 What will the standings be on sunday Night , with Cleveland coming in ?? down to 4.5 now

Someone please look up numbers, but I would LOVE to see how many times we've had a lead in the 5th the last 2 years, pulled the starter and still won. I bet it's less than 30%, probably much less.

Most of time when you pull a pitcher that early, you know, they aren't pitching well.....
CRF Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 That was a shi**y way to lose a game.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Francona's going to run circles around Rocco and the Twins' line up will go MIA against Cleveland's pitching. Guardians likely to take 5 out of those 6 games.

Four batters later it's tied. All the good vibes, gone. Lose that game followed by 4 more in a row and back in the ****. Almost entirely due to the bullpen, too. Aggies7 and Longdistancetwins 2
ziggy Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 so what was that talk of what the Twins need in the 'second' round of the playoffs? Aggies7 1
jkcarew Verified Member Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Kinda feel bad for Duran though…battled, but beat by a couple of ground balls and a misplay. Is a little concerning that he’s not getting many swings and misses with the fastball tho. Vanimal46 1

He breezed through his last inning of work 1-2-3 with 2K's FYI. I honestly would love to see the stats I asked about. Surprised Rocco's IPAD doesn't show him. Jerr 1

Twinsoptimist Provisional Member Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 When you pull your starter when he is pitching well, rely almost exclusively on your long ball, and field badly, it is not surprising that you lose. Listening to most of the games on the radio is painful. Twins consistently find a way to lose. Attended a game three weeks ago. Bad baseball even with a win but I still hope for the best!
