Irishman Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Twins looked awful tonight. Very disappointed!
OvertheHill Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I can’t fathom a MLB team (other than the Twins) unflinchingly batting a .208 guy second or third in the batting order, game after game. I don’t care what you’re paying him, it’s embarrassing.

Here let me google that for you… 🙂 Chipper was at .421 on June 6, dipped under .400 on June 21, and finished at .364 seven points higher than Pujols for 2008 BA winner. Mauer won it in the A.L. that season at .328

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 How many games have we seen like this? I can’t think of many, mostly because the starters have been so consistently good.

MABB1959 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Is Lewis too tired to play? Think they would learn from the latest Buxton injury that sitting out and not playing in the field will keep them healthy.

Tlaker Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Men against boys…. might be even worse. Front office needs to be fired, and right on down to the manager and coaching staff

David HK Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Ahhh, the comforting feather bed of .500 baseball. Looks like over a little, under a little all season long from here. Psst--- I know a guy who's hitting lights out down in FLA someplace. Gee, ya think he could have helped this Murderee's Row of a lineup?

Yes, but he can.....actually hit? You know, in between the strikeouts?

This group has completely shuffled the deck chairs around, probably to the point where they have a blind over-reliance on the odds and numbers at this point, and they have had no additional success whatsoever from what Terry Ryan was giving them. This team is flailing away not just at the plate but have given away a lot of pieces that have had success elsewhere, they have stubbornly refused to move on from mistakes, never saw an injured player they didn't like, they have had mostly terrible drafts, pitching is a bright spot currently but was not developed as promised and instead required trading away pieces at great expense...I just don't see what it is exactly after 7 years that this front office does well?

Didn’t see it live, just the article that said he was okay. Watched the video. He is incredibly lucky he didn’t break his neck. IMO that was worse than any of Burton’s collisions.
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Up above someone mentioned the Twins being able to say they above average by being over .500. In this division it should be over .700 to have something to boast about.
