The Twins missed their best opportunity to win last night in a wild game that went pretty deep into extras. I wouldn't know much about this game, as I went to bed because west coast games are brutal when you have small children.

Tonight the Twins get a revitalized Clayton Kershaw, as if the Los Angeles Dodgers needed the extra help.

Very encouraging the way the boys fought back last night, despite the eventual outcome.  Though the boys had a few chances to pull it out, I am still miffed by the obvious foul ball called fair that allowed the Dodgers to score late and the way Cuzzi screwed AK in the 10th with the bases loaded.

It's hard enough playing against a team as talented as the Dodgers, but to have big calls going against you in huge moments is just tough to stomach.  They are going to have to sharp on both sides of the ball to beat Kershaw tonight.  Both bullpens are pretty heavily taxed as well.

I agree let's move on and see that same fight in our team tonight. I know Kershaw is extremely good and made us look foolish last year but that was last year. This team does have the ability to take good pitchers out of the game. Let's hope we are wrong, and the Twins get the W tonight! Go Twins!! I just hope we win!

This may be the deciding factor. Ober will need to go at least six, maybe seven.

Saw this; maybe bullpen help in a few weeks.

That sounds great I thought that Magda would be better out of the pen than in the rotation. Even if they do send him back to the rotation I still think they should keep Varland at the majors.

Yeah I think Varland's next two outings may go a long way in deciding whether Maeda is a starter going forward or a reliever. Ober has cemented himself in my opinion (but that just covers Mahle now), Varland has been more inconsistent and hasn't quite convinced me he's the for sure 5th starter at this point. If Maeda comes back and the Twins worry about load could be a piggy  back situation too giving each 3-4 innings and hopefully giving the rest of the bullpen a night off every 5 days.

Solano at 2nd is interesting, I would have thought Polanco would play against the lefty. Castro and Gallo instead. Hope hes not sore after all that running last night.

I know this question is a little late, but what was discussed yesterday when that ball that was hit down the right field line looked foul?  How come no one challenged it?

The match up game. It doesn't seem to work for our relievers, and the opposing bats are winning games with like match ups. But Polanco is a swith hitter ......

Down on the Farm, Royce Lewis is 2-2 with a stolen base.

In other news while we wait, Domingo German was just ejected after the umpires held hands with him for a few minutes.

And German, the Yankee pitcher has just been tossed from Blue Jays game by the same umpiring crew that he got away with the sticky rosin issue vs Twins

You watching me?

Supposedly because it was in front of the ump.... and can't be challenged, which is BS. They can still get it wrong. It was also to his left as he looked at it.... kind of like the angles that plate umps have and they pretend they aren't guessing too.

It was very questionable, but even if it could have been reviewed  I doubt it would have been overturned

2-3 now, RBI also. Directly inserted into the 3 hole. He’s coming in hot.

Something like that. He can't be activated from the 60-day list until something like May 29th.

I think it's actually June 1st. So 2 weeks and 2 days I guess

Lewis hit a three-run homer in his fourth at-bat. SSS, but he may be ready to help the Twins when his rehab is over.

I'm sure they'll hit for Solano as soon as Kershaw is out. Of course, that could be the eighth inning.

Or tomorrow.

It just feels like a "white flag" game. Sorry, but that's what I'm thinking. I hope I'm way wrong.

Let’s give it a few innings before our proclamations of doom 🙂
