How is it that Larnarch gets so many bad calls? Bad calls on all parts of the plate. Inside, outside, high, low. He has a great eye, and gets screwed.

Great Correa. 1-14 against Houston. Only 1 out with runner in scoring position.....

Looks like he's repaying some personal clubhouse bets.

There seems to be a correlation between not scoring any runs...and losing games.

I swear to god I remember like two times CC has come through for us. Gonna be a long 6 years

His WPA for today is down to -0.159. For the season, -0.19.

Gallos walk was closer than that 2-0 pitch was

Damn...Gray is pitching a nice game...and we can't do squat at the plate for him.

IMO...after that inning, and considering the competition, it's easy to argue that this has been (so far) the best start yet of the season.

I just checked the score.

0 runs.

On five hits.

That pattern has gone on for far too long. It pisses me off.

Last season Correa wasn't all that great for the first 100 or so games. I remember it seemed like a real possibility that he would pick up his player option due to his subpar performance. I'm a bit concerned that we are seeing a similar trend this season.

If the Twins get into an RBI situation, Gray should be begging to pinch hit. (Is that legal? Can a pitcher already in the game PH for a field player?)

I believe Larnach doesn't get the benefit of the doubt on close pitches by the umpire.  Once he establishes himself and shows he has a good sense of the strike zone, he'll probably get those called in his favor.  It shouldn't matter, a strike is a strike and a ball is a ball, but that's not life in baseball.

Except that this year he has no incentive to improve in September.
