MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 GIDP Grounder spell worked. Twins also won the Rooker/Pagan trade.

Arm just wasn't built to pitch. The best diet in the world will not affect the arm, while if training is bette then they should also be mor durable. Loss equals any gains.

My strong belief is that Rutschman in going to win this. Five AL rookies have more fWAR than Miranda, btw. Two already have 3 fWAR!
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Good thing Gordon is in the lineup vs this lefty. ?
Sean.h Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 and Nicky Gordon making a nice defensive play and a well struck RBI double
RpR Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 If Gordon ever over comes his bone-head moves, he will be a better than average ball player.

RpR Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Amazing , this pitcher shut-out the Dodgers.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 If Mahle is hurt, I'd like to see the Twins be as aggressive as Atlanta has been, and promote SWR into the rotation. No chance of that, of course, but one can hope. And, I get others won't agree. Not trying to convince anyone.

Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Clutch double Mr. Gordon! We'll take every run we can get! Lot of game left but this helps!

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 And Eddie was a infielder also till he got to the Majors

I would think Varland would be ahead of SWR in the promo list, to say nothing of Devin Smeltzer.

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 I disagree. Next starter up is Aaron Sanchez. He pitched well in his one try in the bigs with the Twins. I'm guessing he is the Mahle replacement. IF we need one. I'm hoping for the flu or something like that.

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Wow, Pagan just doesn't have an out pitch. Dead straight fast ball only gets fouls, not swing and miss.

That experiment lasted for 2 years (2012 and 2013, and was then abandoned partway through 2014).

He has one of the highest swing and miss rates in all of baseball, and his fastball spin is in the 96th percentile, so this take is objectively wrong.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Yes, but Eddie was born that way.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 No trust earned, but I gotta give kudos to Pagan for getting through two in that situation.

Every pitch seems to be maximum effort., whether it is the fastball or breaking pitches. Interesting to me is that so many of the Twins' pitching injuries haven't been arm. Coulombe, Ober and Dobnak haven't had arm injuries and earlier Ryan, Archer and Gray (twice) spent IL time that was connected to their arms.
