He's missed a ton of calls tonight. The pitch that just struck Kepler out has been called a ball 50% of the time. Hard enough to play this game as it is, don't need to fight the umpire as well (both teams).

Only way Ohtani bats there is if Fletcher singles to make it first and third, and even then, I'm not sure they pitch to him.

Ohtani screwed up, but they weren't winning on that play. Sierra was 2/3  of the way down the 3rd base line for some reason.

The fundamentals have just about totally disappeared from baseball. They must not have found an important enough metric yet for good baserunning

Sounded like he wasn't being held at first, so I assume they're trying to stay out of the DP. Perhaps it's on Rengifo for not taking the first pitch to let Ohtani steal if they are giving it to him.
