USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 97 from Jax. More of that, less sliders please.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 How about a 5 spot here?

adorduan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Frankly, I'm losing interesting baseball, at least the way the Twins play it. Pitchers pulled after 65 pitches and 5 shutout innings. The lack of fundamentals, the analytics above all else approach. Just boring baseball.
OptimisticTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Thielbar, Jax, Fulmer, Duran, Lopez is a great little bullpen group. I would love to try to keep Fulmer next year and add Alcala to that mix next year. Somehow even with all of that new bullpen depth we end up with 2 Pagan/Megill games per week. Ultimately, what I will say is I'm not against the maximize SP by not taking them a 3rd time through the order but if you're going to do that you have to proportionally overspend on your bullpen. Traditionally, that group above would be enough... now it's not because we need the bullpen to pick up comparatively more innings.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Another "screamer".... And another one of those meaningless RBI
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Some really good baserunning for a pleasant change. And a nice AB from Arraez off a leftie.

mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Kepler could have used a little luck there...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Huh. Kep with a 3 hopper to 2nd. Odd.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Kepler doesn't need luck. He needs a kick in the head. This constant rolling over on the pitch and hitting into the shift is far more than a liability. It's insanity. Isn't the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again, expecting a different outcome?

mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 I think that shows us all we need to know about Buxton's knee. He could not jump to catch that one.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 We bust our butts the majority of the game. We just can't push a run or two more. So the opposition is hanging close. The opposition puts a couple of good swing against our bullpen and we end up losing. It's like gargilng peanut butter, or sprinting in quicksand for this team to win or dominate.
