Why the heck is he on the roster if he can't bat? I really don't understand. Frankly, I'm losing trust in the front office.

It doesn't make any sense particularly if Buxton is going to be off limits tonight....which it appears he is.

We're in a pennant race and we're starting Aaron Sanchez, with Mark Contreras and Nick Gordon in the OF against a LHer. Meanwhile, Buxton needs a day off and we're subbing in an OFer for 2 innings who can't swing but isn't on the IL.

Falvine ain't impressing me.

Oof, Skubal left the game with an arm injury.

He’s a good pitcher—the other team is sometimes allowed to be good (like the catch made in center an inning ago)

but I can’t get past how the Twins always seem to be facing Tigers starting pitchers who are either coming off the IL or going onto the IL …

Interesting to see if Beckham is going to try to play outfield?

He has logged 91 innings in LF in his major league career (2019 when Seattle thought it was a good idea), so he's not a complete stranger to the position.  Still, every fly to left stands to be an adventure.

As a rule I never call for another person’s job, and I know the roster is bare bones especially now, but I think the whole coaching staff could use an overhaul. Something just hasn’t been right for months. In all facets

And aaron Sanchez will be dfa'd tomorrow even though he's had one of the best starts of anyone in a month

Hmmm, 4 hit - 2 run Sanchez causes coniptions but 5 home run, 10 run Ryan is better?

The bias here is astoundly sad.

Yeah we get it. No rookies ever. We should all be happy watching 90 year old ball players drop dead on the field and then wash our hands of the sport once there’s none left.

Couldn't agree more!!

It’s also interesting that, despite how cautiously the organization deals with injuries need giving guys rest and always erring on the side of caution, our injury report looks like the Vikings around week 16. Like at some point doesn’t there have to be solid evidence that a certain approach is working in order to continue implementing it?

So, if you haven't come round to this face the likelihood that Smeltzer and Sanchez will be our #s 4 and 5 starters for the rest of the season....

It's hard to blame them for the OF issues  is anyone deep enough to lose four outfielders to injury? Plus have Buxton needing time off?

I honestly doubt that. At this point the Twins are looking for anyone with a pulse, and Sanchez might have one.

Assuming he's hurt, hurt, we will see Cave.

I almost hate to admit it, but you're probably right on that.

Go watch the Saints.

This game is screaming wave the white flag. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. If we stand pat, we know our answer. Selfishly I want to see something happen so I can feel good about attending a home game in August. If not, the team will be on the back burner. Then disappear when football season begins.

You must understand they are smarter than we are so it's hard for us to understand.

At this point the Twins pitchers have 11 Ks and Tigers have 6, yet Twin are losing, some thing is amiss.

The Twins don’t have a fifth starter, it’s more likely he’s here for the long haul.

That was not an endorsement.

How does a major league umpire call that last pitch to Contreras a strike?  Unbelievable.

They like Tigers better than Twins
