The Aaron Hicks who hit .192/.259/.338 his first year with the Twins or the .215/.341/.274 line he out up year 2? Hicks did not start well for the Twins.

This happens a lot, not just in sports broadcasts but such things as remote reports on the 10:00 news. This is probably the worst I've seen, though.

This is a high quality troll job or you can’t read the date of the excerpt you posted. Possibly both.

The article you reference is dated March 7. It says "exhibition game" in it...
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 I did not see this coming. Twins aren't hitting anything hard and Wells isn't a very good pitcher. Still time to turn it on.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Classic tutorial for a young catcher. Popups at home plate curve toward the pitcher's mound as they descend due to spin. Jeffers got into fair territory facing home plate so the ball would curve toward him.

Game7-91 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Per Yahoo, 4 innings of scoreless ball results in Twins increasing Win Probability to 57.4%....... Should be 147.8% when 0-0 in the 9th

My error, I thought it was an in season exhibition game; his lighting start in exhibition games, in the majors is why he was on the team.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 JEFFERS!!! That's what we needed.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Great call by Watkins, and by the 1st base umpire. I thought Jeffers was hosed in real time
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Only got one run out of it, but three very hard hit balls that inning. I imagine Wells is probably done.
