I'm in Colorado on vacation, so I can see the Twins on ESPN. So far so good.  My first look at Ober, I like what I see,  there is potential there.

Jax is barely a prospect at this point, and the FO knows it, or they would have protected him in the Rule 5 draft in either of the past two years. He's a classic case of "very good minor league track record, but doesn't have the stuff to get MLBers out".

It’s possible that’s the case too. Especially if he can add a tick or 3 on his fastball moving to the pen. I am impressed with him so far as a starter. Wouldn’t mind opening up his pitch count on days like today when he’s feeling it.

Too bad Simmons couldn't get it down. Sano would have scored and Simmons would have been safe. However, that's what happens when teams aren't going well. I hope we don't lose this 4-3 or 5-4 because we would have lost it in the 3rd inning. I still don't see why Rocco doesn't sacrifice with Gordon and a man on 2nd with no outs. But Rorsvelt can't hit. Hoping we can get good relief pitching today. Ober has looked good but they may not let him pitch much more. I never could see that.

Sox announcers keep wondering when they can get to our bullpen ... they have been complimentary of Ober, but know he won't pitch the whole game and can't wait to get to our bp

Oh I think he will. 

In fact, for his career, I'd put the Ober/under at 2.5.
