LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Can't wait to see Garver pinch hit for Jeffers in the 4th. Then Avila pinch hit for Garver in the 7th. Then Astudillo pinch hit for Avila with the bases loaded in the 9th.lol, carry 4 catchers, use them all, and pray the last one doesn’t get hurt
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Berrios is looking really good, much better than I expected. Will the offense do anything today?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Note to self:Switch the calendar at the end of the month.I’m an optimist so I’m counting on a win. But on the bright side, if they lose today we won’t have to go through another offseason talking about how they couldn’t win in October.

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Starting Kirilloff so they can insert Cave?? That's as bass ackwards as pinch hitting Garver so you can insert Avila so you can PH Turtle. I hope to GOD that's not the thought pattern. Uh, then why not start Cave? I'd have much rather had Cave hitting 6th. Or Jeffers, or Gonzo or Polanco...someone that has been in that spot before. Yeah, I know, a lot of guys hit a home run in their first major league at bat... but it's something that gets noticed because it doesn't happen that often. JcS It's risk/reward. There's risk in playing Kirilloff, both at the plate and in field, but if you have Cave on the bench ready to come in, that mitigates the risk significantly, while still letting you capture the potential reward. It's much harder to bring in Kirilloff later in the game. Obviously if you just want Cave, you just start Cave. But we don't just want Cave, we're trying to find the best way to fill the absence of Buxton.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Someone is going to have to homer. That’s clearly our only hope at this point. Can’t string anything together with so many guys doing nothing
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Just showed off the Carew statue. Let’s send it up to the plate and see if it can get a walk next time the bases are loaded.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Now we have to see how Jose does 2nd time thru the lineup. He was great for 3 innings.Meanwhile...our hitters are looking.......awful
T_J Provisional Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Cave on the bench gives us something to question later in the game. He tinkers too much. Baker made like just one move yesterday. The twins used 4 freaking catchers.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 This dude's fastball is straight. Boys are just getting under it.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 No pressure, Jose, just be perfect while the offense dilly dallies around and wets themselves
HokieRif Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 not optimistic the offense is going to show-up. I have faith that Berrios can keep them at bay for a while, but we need a lot more than 1 run today.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I wonder if there is something up with Cruz's vision? He hasn't squared up a ball in weeks. Even his double yesterday was opposite field. The power is totally gone. Or maybe its his age finally catching up?Sano's power is also gone. He hit one to the deep outfield, for an out yesterday, but he isn't squaring anything up lately either. Today all the Twins AB's have been weakly hit outs.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Those of you that know me a little bit, know I love to play poker. Hold em is my game. I play fairly often at a local casino, and host a home game twice a month. My home game is usually 7 or 8 of the same regulars, but we had a new guy show up last week. I immediately was suspicious of the guy...though he might be cheating. He won a big hand, and I'd had enough. "Listen, friend, you're cheating. And I can prove it." "I'm not cheating!" he claimed. "Yes you are," I yelled. "Those are not the two hole cards I dealt you!!!"

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I HATE these in game interviews
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Anybody gonna complain about the umpiring today
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Im listening on the radio. Is Jose Rembrandt today, or is the umpire Santa Claus?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 I understand doing in an game interview during spring training, or even during a fairly meaningless game in the dog days of the season. However, it's the freaking postseason.
