Mrs Chief and I have had a rough couple months. Her brother died, leaving his pregnant wife alone, ready to have their first child.

She soon went into the hospital, and wouldn't you know it...twins! A boy and a girl.

They had planned on having Mrs Chief's brother name their child, but since he was gone, she asked if I would step in, and name their newborn twins.

I was hesitant...but she insisted.

So I went home, gave it much thought, and finally decided on the names.

After telling the nursing staff what to put on the birth certificate applications, I went to her room.

"Well," she exclaimed. "I'm exited! What is my daughter's name?"

"Denise," I said.

"I love it! she exclaimed. "And how about my son??"

"De Nephew."

That joke was funnier the first five times you told it.

I get bringing in the soft tossing lefty since the Twins seem to have historically struggled against those types of pitchers, but I think this lineup is just too good not to make those adjustments from yesterday.

Especially as a Twins fan, you hate to see concussions.

Morneaus in 2010 Concussion- i still believe might of been a good shot to win it all, That and watching the Yanks win 2 at Target Field that year, -- Still Hurts

Brian Dozier signed a minor leauge contract with the Mets,

Duh. The Mets only sign minor league players.

I'd be OK with Avila getting his 2nd AB in the 2nd inning, against a lefty, every time he starts this year.

Man, Maeda puts in a lot of umph to get that fastball to 94. Grunting after every pitch and falling off the mound. I’ve never watched him pitch...is he always like this?

Sox announcers commented on Maeda’s grunts when he pitches ... says he’d make a great tennis player

I imagine this is a lot of our first time's watching Kenta pitch.

kepler could have probably gotten that one, but I’m OK with being careful out there in a 9-0 game

Sox announcers said the ball just seemed to keep accelerating

Jason Benetti on Kepler on the Engle double: "It kept sailing on him -- it was a Christopher Cross double."

What a jam.
